Currently Quenta is not signed with a apple developer id. To install Quenta, you must deactivate Gatekepper temporary:
system preferences… > Security & Privacy > "Allow applications downloaded from:"> "Anywhere".
After installation you can set back the Gatekeeper.
The manual is implemented in the Quenta program (in the right upper program window corner, press the "help" button). When testing Quenta, you can read the manual even the demo period is ended.
Studio Modus
Primary Quenta converts the incomming note on into a midi start message, afterwards it sends midi clock to the external sequencer. This order is always the same and would cause a time offset between the note on and the playback start. The technique using a daw track is the same as control Quenta live with a midi keyboard or a Novation controller, there you send always the note ons/control pads a bit earlier too.
